Erin Cecilia Thomas is from Buffalo, New York. She graduated from Berklee College of Music, where she played guitar and studied music production. She went on to participate in writing workshops at NYU and The Porch Writers’ Collective and received her MFA in Fiction from Lesley University. Her work has appeared in Alaska Quarterly Review, Arts & Letters, and Redivider Journal, among many others, and in 2021 she received the Beacon Street Prize in Fiction. Erin has lived in Boston, Brooklyn, and New Jersey, where she has worked as a barista, chicken wing fryer, bookseller, and recording engineer. She resides in Nashville with her husband and their mountain cur, Frankie. Her first collection, I Watched You from the Ocean Floor is forthcoming from Modern Artist Press on July 1, 2025.
